Amazon FBM Fulfillment Services:
Sell Prime or Non-Prime on Your Terms

Control the fulfillment. Own the experience. Cut the fees.

With Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM), you ship Amazon orders yourself or through a trusted 3PL partner like MyFBAPrep. It’s the ultimate move for brands who value speed, margins, and total control—without depending on Amazon’s FBA network.

What is FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant)?

FBM stands for Fulfilled by Merchant—a model where Amazon sellers handle their own storage, packaging, and shipping, either in-house or via a 3PL like MyFBAPrep.

Unlike FBA, you don’t send inventory into Amazon. You fulfill orders directly when they come in.

FBM Models We Support

  • Standard FBM (Non-Prime orders)
  • Seller Fulfilled Prime (SFP) (For Prime-eligible listings via your own fulfillment)
  • Hybrid FBA/FBM setups (Route overflow or low-turn SKUs through FBM)
  • FBM + Multichannel (Use same inventory pool for DTC, Walmart, TikTok Shop, and more)

Why FBM Makes Strategic Sense

FBM isn’t a backup plan—it’s a power move when used correctly.

Lower Fees = Higher Margins

Avoid FBA’s peak storage, removal, and long-term holding costs. You only pay for what you use.

Total Inventory Control

Real-time visibility across your catalog. No blackout dates, stranded SKUs, or inbound delays.

Faster Launches, Better Testing

FBM lets you list products without waiting for Amazon to check in your shipment. Ideal for seasonal drops or test SKUs.

Flexible Packaging & Inserts

Send orders with branded packaging, marketing cards, or freebies Amazon would reject.

Returns? Your Rules.

You define the policy. No automatic refunds, Amazon mishandlings, or inbound chaos.

Fulfilled By Merchant FAQs

What is the difference between FBA and FBM?

FBA means Amazon handles fulfillment from their network. FBM means you (or your 3PL) fulfill Amazon orders yourself. FBM gives you more control and lower cost, but you must meet shipping standards.

Is FBM allowed on Amazon?

Yes. Amazon supports both FBA and FBM. Many sellers use a hybrid model to optimize margins and performance.

Do I lose the Prime badge with FBM?

Standard FBM listings are not Prime-eligible, but you can enroll in Seller Fulfilled Prime (SFP) to offer Prime shipping with your own fulfillment. Learn more here.

Can I use the same inventory for FBM and my DTC site?

Yes. MyFBAPrep lets you centralize inventory across channels—including Shopify, Amazon, Walmart, and TikTok Shop.

Is FBM cheaper than FBA?

It can be. Especially for large, seasonal, or slow-moving items. You avoid FBA’s storage, labeling, and inbound fees.
